“You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
To change something, build a new model that makes the old one obsolete.”
In the days of our ancestors, our stories were told around the fire to our tribe. We defined ourselves by narratives of heroism and sacrifice that told us who we were and how we identified our friends.
Now, our stories reach millions and are binge-watched in the seclusion of our homes. But they can still work their magic, reaching deep into our frames of life and helping us to see the world differently.
Transforming the narrative of our times
We have two choices…
We can be the generation that did too little, too late, that followed the road to hell and high water because we couldn’t imagine a workable alternative. Our children’s children will live in a disintegrating world, if they live at all.
We can build that workable alternative, layer, by layer, story by story, spark by imaginal spark until future generations, looking back, say, ‘The 20s were the turning point. It was hard. The people who lived then made mistakes, but they took the risk to do things differently – and we are here because it worked.’
Narrative Ark is committed to making TV that changes the future.
